The Lessons Learned Podcast provides an in-depth look at the Suncoast region’s nonprofit thought leaders. Our CEO, Erin Minor, had the pleasure of being a guest on the podcast.
Erin sits down with David Conrad to discuss quite a few topics, from our humble beginnings to what our future holds. Harvest House began with just 6 beds for men in recovery from substance abuse. Today, Harvest House has 8 supportive housing campuses and 25 affordable rentals encompassing 380 beds. We offer supportive housing, addiction recovery, food security, and affordable rentals for families, young adults, and formerly incarcerated people.
Our model is becoming the standard for serving people who are working to rebuild their lives. We believe that affordable and supportive housing programs improve economic status, revitalize neighborhoods, and stabilize lives, and our experience has taught us that housing is just the starting point. The human services sector must offer opportunity for the whole person: the body, mind and spirit. This holistic approach is the core to how Harvest House serves our community.
