Until Rachel made her way to Harvest House those years she spent addicted ruined her entirely. She came to us disconnected, depleted of her faith, and hopeless. In contradiction to her broken state, we were able to offer her a place of freedom, respect, empowerment, and healthy discipline where she truly flourished in her recovery.
Community leaders and partners of Harvest House on Tuesday revealed the renovated housing complex at the 2700 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way in Sarasota.

Last fall Harvest House was awarded a $50,000 grant from the William G. and Marie Selby Foundation. Over the next week, that $50,000 grant will be put to use as local, family owned and run, Florida Fence works to install over 2,000 feet of white, vinyl picket fence at the Family Village.

Harvest House has shown me how to accomplish the things I wanted in my life, free of drugs, and to separate myself from the things I had brought into my life that were destroying all that I loved.
Starting back in 2013, Sarasota spent tens of thousands of dollars—and earmarked hundreds of thousands more—agreeing to and then rejecting a solution that offered promise for reducing the city’s street homeless.
