Addiction is a disease that knows no limits – it can affect anyone regardless of upbringing, gender, age, and cultural identity. This is why we take a holistic approach to residential recovery, focusing on the four pillars upholding a sustainable life – purpose, home, health, and community.
Freedom is a highly progressive, structured program that focuses on rehabilitation of the mind, body, and spirit through skill mastery. Our hope is that our clients master the skills to thrive in their personal health and wholeness, becoming contributors to their families and communities.
Harvest House’s Freedom program is a designated alternative sentencing site for local judicial systems. Although the program curriculum is six months, there is no length of stay minimum for court orders and a 24-month length of stay maximum for court orders. No matter the length of stay, each participant will receive robust recovery services.
We find that Freedom Recovery graduates can benefit from continued supportive housing during their next steps in recovery. For some, this is a necessary step before finding sustainable housing. Some graduate housing residents will never be able to live on their own due to age or pre-existing conditions.
Participants accepted to this program sign a program agreement and pay an affordable program fee that includes housing, utilities, and access to the Harvest Food Pantry. They also maintain access to the supportive services of the Freedom Recovery program, including the life-skills classes, support groups, and our loving community.
We’ve created a holistic and innovative model to address these barriers. We recognize that transformation over reformation leads to lasting recovery solutions. We focus on addressing the whole person: body, mind, and spirit.
Clients are required to stay engaged full time. We believe that personal responsibility is key, and purpose is found in completing meaningful activities, from active employment to creative endeavors.
Our Residential Recovery model is a hybrid between a halfway house and an inpatient center. Included in the program fee, clients are set up in a dorm-style living accommodations with a shared common area, bathroom, and kitchen.
Physical, sexual, mental, and emotional healing and fitness are essential to recovering and minimizing the chance of relapse.
Social connection is the key to living a happier, longer life. Through enrichment classes 6 nights a week and shared living spaces, clients in recovery truly have an opportunity to bond and connect in ways that help establish the ability to maintain healthy relationships for a lifetime.
Our staff is a collaboration of trained professionals and peer-experts that help identify the individual flashpoints resonating with each client in order to activate their unique pathway to recovery.

Submitting an application does not guarantee housing. Our goal is to serve as many families as possible, but due to limitations, we select those with the highest acuity of need first. We hold applications for 6 months in case an opening fits the needs of each applicant over that time period.
Home Again is a housing program that helps families prepare for long-term housing stability. The best fit for the program is families that have many challenges to housing but are willing to engage with the program to improve their housing situation. Families must be willing to set goals, meet regularly with a case manager, attend life skills classes, and participate in individual housing stability plans.
