Tattoos, Scars, and a Story
While incarcerated in 2011, Kyle discovered his love for words when he began writing poems to express his feelings. He used poetry as a mental escape from the disastrous circumstances he found himself in.
The first part of Kyle’s journey led him to the Freedom program at Harvest House. He said, “Fentanyl was quickly sending me to an early grave, and finally, I had enough. That’s when I reached out to Harvest House.” Since becoming a Freedom program participant, Kyle’s devotion to turning his life around is apparent.
Recovery
Kyle’s history of substance abuse and past struggles with addiction does not define who he is today. He is much more than what society labels individuals struggling with addiction. Kyle is a proud husband and father, a business owner, and a poet, and today; he is sober and looking forward to returning home to his wonderful wife and two beautiful daughters.
“God has a plan for me that is much bigger than I can understand,” he explained. During his time at Harvest House, Kyle has improved physically, spiritually, and emotionally while strengthening his relationship with his family. He also started his own business called Clean Cut Floors and More. He thanks everyone at Harvest House who inspired him and believes he is more than just a statistic.
Harvest House is grateful to be on this journey with Kyle as he continues writing his life story through poetry.
