It is with great joy and immense pride that I share a significant milestone. Erin Minor, our visionary CEO, has been appointed Vice President of Community Leadership at Gulf Coast Community Foundation.
This new role allows Erin to expand her impact across the region, continuing the work she passionately believes in—transforming lives and championing hope on a larger scale.
Erin’s dedication to Harvest House has been unparalleled. Under her leadership, our organization has flourished, solidifying its role as a cornerstone of care and transformation in Sarasota and Manatee Counties. We are deeply grateful for Erin’s visionary leadership, including the launch of the Life Enrichment Campus, which has become a cornerstone of our mission. Her dedication to addressing mental health and addiction recovery challenges has transformed thousands of lives, while her ability to unite local government, nonprofits, and private entities has strengthened our impact. Erin elevated Harvest House as a supportive and affordable housing leader, championing initiatives that enabled educational achievements, employment milestones, and family reunification. Her commitment to trauma-informed care redefined how we serve clients.
While we will deeply miss her day-to-day presence, Erin’s move to Gulf Coast Community Foundation is not a farewell but a continuation of her steadfast commitment to strengthening our community in new and profound ways.
The leadership transition is scheduled for March 2025, ensuring a smooth and seamless handover as we move forward with clarity and purpose. We are delighted to announce that our current President, Dan Minor, will take on the dual role of President and CEO. With 21 years of dedicated service to the Harvest mission, Dan brings unparalleled experience and a steadfast commitment to our cause. With support from the Board, the Chief Operating Officer (Dr. John Walsh), newly promoted leaders in the roles of Vice President of Programs (Jordan Mayer) and Vice President of Advancement, and the entire Harvest House team, we have carefully prepared for this transition. Together, we are united in our vision for the future, ensuring that Harvest House continues to be a beacon of hope for those who need it most.
Harvest House’s mission is unwavering: Champion hope and transform lives through supportive and affordable housing, addiction recovery programs, and food security. As we step into this new chapter, we are emboldened by our shared commitment to innovation and excellence. Our programs will continue to grow, adapt, and address our neighbors’ most pressing needs, thanks to our staff’s dedication and the generosity of our supporters.
This transition is not merely a title change but an opportunity to build on our strong foundation and dream even bigger for those we serve. Rest assured, with unwavering commitment, the Board of Directors and our entire team remain steadfast in their resolve to steward Harvest House into its next era of growth and service.
Please join me in congratulating Erin on this well-deserved appointment and in welcoming Dan to his expanded role.
With gratitude and confidence in the future,
Dr. James R. Minor
Chair, Board of Directors
