On April 28-29, 2020, Harvest House participated in the 7th Giving Challenge – a 24-hour online fundraiser with over 700 local nonprofits, hosted by the Community Foundation of Sarasota County with giving strengthened by The Patterson Foundation.
238 generous supporters helped raise a grand total of $52,032 in just 24 hours! This includes a $17,366 match from The Patterson Foundation and a $2,000 prize donation for being selected as having one of the Best Online Events.
With the community’s unwavering belief in our mission, we’ve been able to waive client fees for services as needed, including all rent payments for Home Again families. All services have been able to continue without interruption, including the Harvest Food Pantry distributions every Thursday. We’ve also been able to distribute gift cards and other basic needs helping to ease additional financial burdens.
